centuries old detective - short little guy, serious, but w/ a silly side, drives a white car w/ pink accents - is sherriff (part time?) of some western town. he’s got a butler. sherriff returns from lengthy trip to hole up in his basement. when butler goes to see him, it turns out dude has been monitoring his arch nemesis. sherriff fights him, then comes home & butler turns into alien thing w/ tentacles for sherriff to vomit up bad guy into, hurting them both, but ensuring bad guy isn’t summoned back into existence by chief bad guy, whom sherriff watches on far-too-sophisticated monitors in the basement. this dream was a vomiting up (cute!), w/ apologies & frustration at realities on both sides, after which, the sherriff was a little wobbly, & put a big dent in his car, before they both passed out.
